I use the 505. I have tried others but like this one the best. Sticks better, easier clean up and smells way better. But it is the more expensive one.

505 is the best!! No need for basting at all when you use this stuff!

I was using Dritz, but when I ran out of the 2nd can, I bought June Taylor because it was a larger can for a couple of dollars less. I do like it better. It seems easier to control the spray, especially around the edges. I never basted with thread using either product.

I use a spray from Fabricland here in Canada, large can for $25.00, but I bought 5 at 50% off, so it's a good deal.
Better than the dritz which seemed to puddle at the nozzle.

I use 505..........love it and it is the only one I use now. Good stuff and it doesn't have the smell some of the others do.....wow!

I have used 505 and liked the product, but my can has a buildup at the nozzle and I can't seem to clear it. The spray gets on you hand, and it is very hard to get off, I had to scrub with a toothbrush and was still finding little bits the next day. Any idea what to clear this nozzle with, hot water didn't work.

How about finger nail polish remover? Do you even use it on larger quilts? Do you still bast with thread or pins?

I use it on my queen size quilts. Don't use pins anymore, not need to with the 505 spray. I do use helpers to spray baste my quilts. I have taught my husband and my son's girlfriend and they have even spray basted about 6 of them with me just sitting on the side giving them encouragement. I am fortunate that DH is a pastor and the church is almost across the street and we can go over there whenever the room's not being used and have a large floor surface to work on as well as push together long tables so we don't have to get down on the floor.

I have not had problems with the 505 gunking up at the nozzle. I have had others do that. I seriously can't remember what I used to un-gunk in the past.

I have only ever used 505. It works perfectly every time. Holds well, even when folding/putting away the item between quilting sessions, but you can still peel and re-adjust if needed. It's magic!
