Batiks are so out of my price range.. and I just almost never find anything made from them in thriftstoreland. I am training myself not to see them, so I don't suffer seeing what I can't have. LOL

I have been pricing batiks. Ordered some book through Amazon. Decent prices compared to the stores. Some new, some barely used.

I LOVE Batiks. The variety of colors. tectures and patterns...ooohhh they just draw me to them. I made a Storm at Sea out of mostly batiks and it is probably my favorite quilt to date just because of the fabric.

Thanks, Debby for the tip. I wish i had known that before I just machine appliqued all the loose pieces down! I love the fabric that i was using, (was in a kit) but i suspect that it just had a large amount of wax left in it from the process. arghhh.
