I'm fairly new to quilting so this may be a really dumb question to some of you. I ordered some batiks from Connecting Threads because I had not bought any and some of you really like them. I got them today and my question is, is there a wrong side and a right side to them? To me, they seem to be the same on both sides. Some seem to be a little more muted on one side but they are pretty much the same.

You can use both sides of a batik. This way you double your options!!!!

I just try to pick the brightes side for the right side. If I can't tell, which side is which, so one else will either. :D

There is NO wrong side on batiks. That's what makes them so wonderful ( that and they are so bright, bold & beautiful) Its what side you like better will be the top..

The right side of a batik has a little more definition in the pattern and the wrong side, the pattern is a tiny bit fainter.
It really doesn't matter though which you use. Choose your favorite.
