when you are buying batiks do you have to have the same group of colours or do they all blend together?

Batiks are no different than other fabrics to me. I choose the colors that will work in what ever project that I am working on. :D:D:D

i buy what ever batik catches my eye-what ever i like and think i can put to use. my purchasing has nothing to do with families/color collections it is simply based on what is going to work for what i have in mind.

I agree and add , the basic ... light , medium, dark for depth . I typically find quilts I have made dissapoint me if I do not have some of each.
