    You can get Hobbs 80/20 black batting at Connecting Threads. In my area, the only store that carries it is Hancock Fabrics, and it is a two-hour round trip. As much as I like to shop local, I prefer to order online. If you have any quilt shows in your area, see if Hobbs has a booth and stock up there.

    Thanks for all your help. Looks like black is the overwhelming batting of choice. Thanks for the tip on Connecting Threads.
