Thanks all for your thoughts, PaperPrincess is right, I meant to say Hobb's Poly/Down... :-)
I like ckcowl's batting journal idea, with my lack of memory this is probably what I should start as I venture out on the field of different battings!
I have a couple of tops that are almost ready to be handed over to my quilter, I will confer with her and try something other than Warm & Natural/White this time around.
