I'm with PaperPrincess, Joann's 50 off and free shipping, purchase online. A friend told me to run the numbers after I teased her with her two huge rolls of batting in her guest bathtub. The hardest part was deciding on which batting to purchase. I tried several of their brands before I chose the Warm & White. Which seems heavier and thicker than the Warm and Natural. But that is probably my imagination. I do a lot of quilts with brights and whites and the white batting makes them pop.

I use Hobbs Tuscany and Hobbs Silk. I buy it at Connecting Threads when it is on sale. I like the Hobbs black batting for dark quilts. I usually use two layers of batting in my quilts one being a 80/20. I buy by the package, I like having the size I need pre cut.

I usually buy from Joann's online when it is on sale & free shipping - Don't forget to go through ebates - it is usually 2% cashback - every little bit helps. I also search the internet for any coupon codes

Here's where I get my batting, http://www.heartbeatquilting.com/shop/Batting.htm. I consider their prices great and their customer service is excellent, both times I've ordered batting, it was late on Thursday afternoon and by Monday morning, the order was sitting on my door step.

When using two layers of batting, do they both need to have the same shrinkage allowance? And I 505 spray baste for quilting on my midarm. Would I need to spray between the two batting layers?
