    My ideal is a 60" width bolt, because that is the best for me in making kids' blankets.

    Our charity quilts are 60x80 so the 60" width is ideal. Also, we use a medium loft Poly batting because it dries faster than cotton and we can't assume everyone has access to a dryer. For my own use it is either W&N or Hobbs 80-20 (depends on if I care if the quilt draws up when I wash and dry it).
