I found the patten/idea last July? in I think Quilters World magazine.
There is a newish glue? pen, I was given one I used it for the edges, to fold under and press. I stitched all the edges down on the frame with raw edge folded under, no border, no binding. I send GIL an mail and ask her if she can send me pictures if you are interested??

4dogs, I hope your son is home and safe?
Colin repairs Chinook helicopters, this is his 2nd tour, and already has orders for his 2nd tour to Afganistan. My oldest will be making his first tour to Afganistan in Oct/Nov of this year. I am thinking he will need all the prayers he can get, as he will be entering the buildings to clear them. I am scared silly.

Can I tell you the comment from my 9 yr old GD. She did not understand the towel and qullt combo, I heard her Mom in the background, the quilt part it to lay on , and the towel is to dry your butt. LOL
You just answered my question (that was in my head) I couldn't figure out why you would make a quilt on the other side of a towel. I'm tired :D:D:D

I'm working on one right now. I have the checkerboard border on it, just waiting for some backing. Squaring it up was the hardest part.

what backing? I layered the quilt onto the towel, no other backing is needed.

Has anyone completed a beach towel as I would love to see some pics of some completed. Does one add binding on the edge or do you sew it inside out and then turn it out and handstitch the last little bit?
