    My friend just brought back 200 meters of batiks from Indonesia,they are beautiful!I bought 11 yards from her and want to make something that will show off the beautiful patterns.Suggestions for patterns that use large cuts?

    What about something like this picture, it would be easy to make up yor own pattern. Just large blocks on point with black or white sashing.

    I bought this pattern to go with a Hoffman Jasmine batik bundle. I've got it cut, just need time to sit and sew it.

    DH is going to Indoesia in October. Batiks are at the top of his shopping list for me. If you have the name of the shop I would love to know exactly where to send him!

    I like Atkinson's "Fire Escape" pattern for showy batiks.
