Yes, it is a 3-D applique pattern created by Joan Shay of Petalplay.

I bookmarked this. Would love to try someday. It is beautiful. We don 't have cardinals where we live and they are beautiful birds.

You just got me in trouble. My Aunt loves cardinals and has cardinals in every form you can think of....plates, cups, wall hangings, porcelan birds, jacket, etc., etc. She said, NO MORE! but........this is just too beautiful to pass up. She's getting one! I love it. Thanks for the post.
