I have not seen alot of bedrunners which seems surprising. I found a site that states that they are very popular...I have never even heard of them but I do think that they are a great idea...here is a picture of a pattern that I found

What a nice wedding gift this would make...I think I will make a few for my bed. I bet my kitties would love them...I like how they are small and if I use a plain bedspread I can change the look of the room often. Wish I could make this one. http://www.keepsakequilting.com/productdetail/2035.htm

Well up here in the north our feet get cold. But this is also used to decorate your bed. My cats always sleep at our feet so for me this would be easier to clean than putting in the whole bedspread once a month. I love how you can easily change them for a whole new look. This would be great to beable to try harder blocks but only make a few. I was making ottoman quilts with left over materials now I may make a few of these.
