I just can't believe that no one has ever mentioned this. I never had it and now don't know what I ever did without it.

I cant believe that people still use it. I've used in hand stitching but rarely do that anymore. I've only got one hand piecing quilt that I'm doing and that is rarely. Sure does help with the thread, less tangles and twisting. To be honest I've had mine for years, didnt know they still sold the stuff.

Can you show a picture and explain how to use it?

If you search on google for bees wax and then look at Dritz brand. It's a round plastic case with the round piece of bees wax inside. There are 3 slits on the top and 3 on the bottom of the plastic case. You just take your thread and run it through one of the slits. I run it through 2 times.
    Hope this helps.

I use it for everything!! and I have used it for 30 about years. I use it to stiffen the thread before I put it in a hand needle, I stiffen the end to thread the sewing machine, I wax about 6" when I rethread my serger loopers. I have also used it when I need the thread not to twist and knot when I hand sew. Wonderful Stuff.

I have always used it since I started quilting. Must have been in a book about hand quilting. My little box of wax is so well used. I saw a block of beeswax at my hardware store for 1.00. It is a little bigger than a bar of soap. I think it came from a local beekeeper. That's enough for the rest of my life.

I also use it for drawers that get sticky, zippers that don't slide well, etc. Lots of uses.

I can't believe it. I wish I would have known years ago.
