I have a Bernina 830 and a Bernina LA table and have yet to set up the table. I made a 1 yard sandwich and practiced meandering and got discouraged. I like the idea of practicing like penmanship. I would love to do feathers. But that is something I probably would never be able to do. I tried it only once and it twisted my brain.

That depends on the machine. When I set the stitch length on my Baby Lock to 0 (Zero) all I get is angry little tickmark stitches. So I have to set mine to the regular length or even longer to get good control.

Don't forget to keep your shoulders down. Angel wing shoulders will cause tension and bad muscle pain. Start slow - small project and have fun.
