Visited my sister in Lexington, and we took a trip to Berea (what a fantastic place to visit). There's a quilt shop that is closing, and I got the last piece of their backing fabric. It's navy blue, 108 inches wide, 4 1/4 yards, and I got it all for $17.!!!!
Got some other fabric for $2/yard and some other for 1/2 price. What a haul. Had to carry some stuff in my carry-on bag as my suitcase was over 50 pounds. I wish now I had bought more.
So if anyone lives near Berea, better hurry on over before they close.

I am glad for you on getting such a great haul. But saddened to learn of another quilt shop closing. Go enjoy your new stash. Congrats!

Do you know the name of the shop and when they are closing. There is a quilting studio opening in Berea
that does mainly long arm quilting. Her work is absolutely beautiful.

Berea is well known as a great area for all types of artists.

Can't remember the name of the shop (will find out when I get my credit card bill). They didn't say when they were closing, but there wasn't a whole lot left. It was right next door to Papaleno's on Center St.

Thanks for the info. Berea isn't that big so I'm sure I can find it knowing the street it is on.

I may have to take a trip over there Friday morning! I agree, Berea is a neat little town. I live in Richmond, which is in the same county as Berea.
