Hello ladies, I had a question about bereavement quilts. When you design one do you choose the design or does the customer . I also had the same question about tee shirt quilts. So far I have designed them and was wondering if this was the best way to go. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the board from Southern California. Have never made a bereavement quilt, hopefully someone else can help you!

hi and welcome to the board. I assume you are making the quilt with clothing/fabric. I have made them and since people don't really understand the concept of how much fabric you need for a certain pattern I use a few standard patterns and they can decide from those. It is easier that way, people will ask for a specfic pattern and yet the clothing/fabric that they have would never work. hope that helps.

Welcome from SW Iowa. I guess I would leave it up to buyer. Some have specific ideas and others want you to design them.

If I agree to making a "memory" quilt it has to be my design the whole way. I show them some pics of others I've done and then I tell them how I think I can use the things they have brought me.
