I seen some talk on here about Berina 830 and thought I would ask the same question about the Berina 8000. I have not actually used it as bought it at auction and then we headed off for the winter. I was just wondering if I got a good deal and if it was a good machine. I paid $50 for it.

Are you sure you have the model # right? I'm thinking maybe it's a Bernina 800 (which would be well worth the money IMO!).

I was thinking it was 8000 but could be 800, I will have to look again when we get home. The lady that had the auction was a very good quilter.

I don't believe you got a $11,000 machine for $50, LOL, so I have to believe you got a non-computerized, old 800 series. Well worth it. Older 800 series still can fetch $300-$500 for a decent machine!

I know now that you will laugh for sure, at least I hope you will. It is an Elna 8000. No wonder you all did not know what I was talking about!! Sorry for listing the wrong machine and no wonder it did not look like the one above.

The Memory Craft 8000 is an embroidery machine. If you picked one up for $50 and it is in working order, you got a great buy. I have my mother-in-laws machine. She paid about $3000 for it in the late 90's. It is a wonderful machine. Good luck with it.
