Okay ladies and gents, I have come to then end of my patience with my Viking Diamond and it is again at the shop.
I have been looking at the Bernins 450 and have found one for $3700.00 complete with the embroidery and BSR foot.
Is there anyone who has one and can give me some input about the likes and dislikes you might have?
I am especially concerned about the embroidery part as it will be used for the alot.
I know that my one big dislike is that the bobbin does not load from the top but I can work through that.
While the Diamond is away I am working with a Bernina 950 Record which I must admit I love it, Even my husband has commented on how quiet it is compared to the Diamond.
I feel the price that I was offered is a good one but I would just like some feedback if anyone has some.
Thanks for your help

I don't have any experience with this machine, but I can say that I love having a front-load bobbin on my Pfaff, instead of a drop-in. Means that if I run out of thread in a seam, I don't have to unload everything to replace the bobbin.
Just my .02. Good luck with your machine!

I think you are making a great decision to move to the bernina. The 450 is a great machine, and requires your computer to do embroidery. The 9mm stitch width is a big plus! The price sounds good for a new machine. Good Luck!!

I figured if I was going to spend that much money on a sewing machine I might as well spend alittle more and have it all. I love my embroidery module as well as just the sewing machine itself. My friend still has her 200/730 for sale and if I had the money I would buy it too just so i could still sew on my 440 and embroider on the 730. lol.
