I have an oppurtunity to buy this for $225. I think that is a very good price. Does anyone have this machine or know anything about it?

I have one. I would ask if you could see it work and try to get a design. I'm saying that cause sometimes the bobbin thread jams up and the needle gets stuck in the fabric and I have a mess. Mine is the 650 Deco.

Yes, I do. Have had it for several years now and love it. Right now it is broken. Something is wrong with the bobbin shutle. Have to take it in and see if it can be fixed. I paid over 600.00 for it and you are getting a real bargin. Go for it! I have floppys of designs as well as the cards that fit the machine. I also have the Magic Box that converts the designs to my blank card. I can't wait until I can save enough to get it fixed. My friend has two, yes two, of the Artista machines. They are too complicated for my feeble brain, plus, my designs, etc., would not work on hers. I don't need such a sufisticated (sp) machine. I have quilts that I used the continous line quilting on the plain blocks. Let me know what you do. It is a great machine. I also have the 1260 Bernina sewing machine...love it.

The seller says it was just serviced in March 2010, has the magic box card, several floppy discs and cds. Interesting....can anyone tell me approx how much it weighs so I can figure postage?

I don't know the weight but that is a good price since it includes the magic box and the other items.

Any idea of where I can find specs on it to see what all it can do? I have googled it to death and can't find anything?
