Hi All...does anyone know about the Bernenia embroidery machine?...I have several sewing machines, but have an interest in learning machine embroidery, but don't need or have the money for a sewing machine that does both sewing and embroidery...I was told that the embroidery machines made by Jonome/babylock aren't worth the money...I'd appreciate your information...Hattie

Well, Berninas are expensive, although well worth it, IMO. I don't do machine embroidery. Hopefully someone who does and has experience with other brands can comment.

Check out Brother embroidery only machines. They are very user friendly and very reasonably priced.

I just bought a used Bernina Artista that is both a sewing machine and an embroidery machine. I love doing embroidery with it...don't know much beyond making labels so far, but it is wonderful for that.

I just got a bernina deco 340. It is an embroidery machine only. I am liking it so far.
It was easy to get started using it. I am not computer
wise and I was a little worried about understanding the manual.
I am able to take classes at the store but it is about an hour drive so I don't know if I take advantage of them or not.

Love my Brother embroidery only machine (and also my Brother combo machine)! I bought both of them refurbished and have had very little problem with either. My sister has the Brother 4500 and the PR650 (much more expensive than mine) and she loves them, too.

BTW, there is a thread here that is just about embroidery which is lots of fun to read and has some great info.

I have a stand alone Brother 780D and I love it. It works great. Never any problems with it. To find the thread on embroidery, just go to search at the top of page and put in embroidery, Let's chat. and you will find a very informative thread on embroidery machines.

I have a Bernina aurora 430 and the embroidery module. I love my machine, but I am not sure about an embroidery machine w/out the sewing machine.
