I have an old Bernina 910 and I love it, but I have never had a walking foot for it. I really want one but they are so pricey! I recently saw something that was mentioning buying an adapter so that any brand of clip on feet could be used. Does anyone know anything about this? I would also like an open toe foot so maybe the adapter idea would be better.

I have both the adapter and the Bernina walking foot for my 1230. The adapter is useful so you can use other feet with the Bernina; however, IMO the non-Bernina walking feet do not perform as well as the Bernina walking foot. The inexpensive generic walking foot in general is just not made with the precision that the Bernina walking foot is made.
