From reading on here, I know that Warm and Natural is a favorite batting for many. Have any of you that hand quilt used Quilters Dream cotton? I have only used Hobbs 80/20 and have been happy, but I wonder if I should try something else. I really want to try wool, but I have seen some having trouble with it when they dry it. Quilters Dream wool, I believe, states that it can be machine washed and dried, anybody use it?

I use Quilters Dream all of the time and really like it. They have different types of batting for how you will quilt your project. I prefer it over Warm and Natural. I have never used Hobbs.

Quilters Dream is great for hand quilting. i can never remember whether "Request" or "Select" is their lowest loft. whichever is, it's the one i prefer.

I have only hand quilted the one quilt so am not qualified to give advise here, but as I am now hooked on hand quilting I shall be following this thread with interest! I used a low loft polyester batting, a thin one, and I had no trouble at all, I like the way it puffed up cosy when I had finished it and of course I have no worries washing it.

    Roselady,
I am not a quilter, I do wood working and have a website that sells lap frames and hoops that I make in the shop. I have been adding notions to the site and was lost ...I mean really lost when I had to pick some batting for the site, since it targets hand quilters. I posted this question and got tons of responses and I did a recap at the end. You may find it useful. Good luck.

This is a great thread. I uses Warm and Natural exclusively but I just may try some of the others. You each make them sound so good - except the wool. I'll let that for others to try. Thx.

Thank you so much, everyone, for all your opinions, I guess I just need to try some of them out.
