Love my Brother Scan n cut, I also love fussy cutting so this machine is great. It works for quilts, appliques, etc. It has lots of designs built in for both too and you can adjust the size and you can have it draw the seam allowance on the fabric. Which is great when you have small quilt pieces and trying to keep accurate seam allowance. Check out the youtube videos to get a hint of some of the things it can do. Since you can scan you fabric in and place the design any were you want, you can save fabric too. Sometimes I lay several different pieces of fabric out on the mat for different designs, scan it in, place the design where I want it and then cut it all at once.
