Sorry I haven't gotten back to you all sooner, I Thank you for all your input. I finished the baby quilt then, started the t-shirt quilt and had the same problems. I Took out all the stitches and cleaned the machine and changed the needle again, and will try again tomorrow. I have decided to purchase a new machine and after a lot of research I have decided on the Janome Memory Craft 6700p or the Elna Excellence 720pro. I am going to test them both and make my final decision. Hopefully I will have the money within the next 2 weeks. I will let you know what I finally decide on. If anyone has any experience with either machine, I would appreciate your opinions. Here is the baby quilt pics.

I posted this a little while ago: https://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1/free-motion-quilting-high-loft-batting-t306885.html.
I swear, FMQ is black magic. BTW I use a Husqvarna Designer Epic. My quilt came out nicely but not perfect. However I suspect its more due to lack of experience than the machine.

They are both awesome machines and are actually twins. Janome owns the Elna brand.
