Good use for beanie babies anyway. I like the idea (once I got past the image my brain supplied of the poor little things shot full of BBs!)

Also, I'm oldschool and cheap...i use pennies, a nice rock or old wasers for a weight.
I live on long island, ny...north shore sand is harsh ad pebley, so.shore is ultra fine. I live in an area
where I'm 15 min fromeither shore. Good luck

I just made one the other day and used a small rock which I wrapped in a piece of batting just so the pins wouldn't actually hit the rock. Then I stuffed it with small scraps of batting which I collect in case I need to stuff something. It worked out just fine and the pincushion has some weight to it.
