Default Best place to buy a new cutter/rulers? ($)

With cost as a large part of the consideration, where would yoa purchase a new rotary cutter and rulers? I'm very interested in the Olfa cutters because they feel much nicer in my hands. As far as rulers, I already have two Omnigrid so I would probably want to stay with that brand. I prefer them to the Fiskars that I have. Online or offline is fine - discounts are even better.

I have purchased all of my rotary cutters and mats and rulers from either Joann's or Hancocks during a 50% off sale or with coupons. I did snag some June Taylor rulers and some Rotary cutters when our Walmarts where clearancing them out to bring in the Fiskars brand. It doesn't matter to me if I am using a Clover, Ofla, or Fiskars rotary cutter. However, for my cutting, I am dedicated to the Olfa frosted rulers. To me, the Omnigrid rulers are too busy and the lines too thick. I like the frosting on the back of the Olfa rulers as it helps the ruler stay in place and I am able to see where I am cutting. I don't care for any of the neon colored rulers; to harsh on my old eyes!

Love the white kitty in your avatar - looks about as comfy as our white kitty.

I've never used one of the Olfa rulers before. Maybe I'll have to give them a test in-store to see how they hold and look against the fabric. Thank you for the recommendation!

That's my Lily Pie! I made a basket for her in my sewing room to lay in. She used it faithfully when I was in my sewing room. ( or so I thought!) One day I was sewing and happened to glance over at my shelves and there she was! I didn't have the heart to make her get down!

This is my go to ruler. It is 6" X 24" I have several different sizes of the frosted rulers. Check them out!

I buy them when I see a great sale price if I need them then or not. This way I always have a new one when I need it at a great price.

Hobby Lobby has been having 40% off coupons, as well. You can use one coupon on one non-sale item, per day. I would also check the prices at WalMart.

The last ruler I bought, the June Tailor Shape Cut Plus 18" X 24" , I shopped around for the best price. I found it at amazon.com. Sometimes, but not always, you can find a better price there than with a coupon.

Usually Joanns when 50% off or have a coupon - sometimes if I see a clearance price I can't pass up then I will grab it from somewhere else

I usually get my supplies at JoAnn's with coupons. But also check on overstock.com. Believe it or not, they have a reasonable number of rulers and I think I've seen mats there as well. Let your fingers do some comparison shopping first!
