Best Press left spots on solid! What happened?
I'm cutting out a quilt and pressing out fold lines as I go along, using Best Press. When I sprayed a piece of solid green fabric it left spots on it. I thought the heat of the iron (used dry with no water in iron) would make it disappear, or that it would fade in a few minutes, but it's still there a half hour later, and quite dry. I tried to take a picture but it doesn't show up well. However, there are clearly orangey-yellowish spots on the fabric and I'm really bummed because I have to go back and buy another half yard of fabric. No problem on any of the other fabrics. It's clear Best Press, unscented.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks, I haven't washed it - I'll try that. I used the same product on all the other fabrics I'm cutting today. It almost looks like rust, but it's in a plastic bottle with a plastic sprayer and didn't show on anything else.

this was good to read! thank you for all the input. i have used it a few times, but prefer to use liquid starch and just dilute it. it doesn't smell near as good, but it saves on the pocketbook and so far no problems. thank you!

Lori, you're right. I had diluted it some because I was almost out of it. And our water, which is from a well, does have some minerals. I've used it like this for a long time, and I guess it's just the deep, solid color that made it look like that.
