check the sales at Nancy's Notions and Keepsake Quilting- also, Hobby Lobby, Joanne's and walmart sometimes have these- and you can either catch a sale or use a coupon

I saw a post recently where someone said that one of the Elmer's Glue Sticks was just as good, and of course, much cheaper. It was either Washable, or for Fabric, or something by Elmer's. I have the Sewline that I buy on eBay that comes with an extra refill. It was $7.95 plus $1.95 postage. I have no idea if that is a good price or not since that is the only place I have purchased mine. You might be able to find them even cheaper than that, but I've had good service from this seller so that's where I buy mine. I will be happy to share the seller's User ID with anyone, if it is allowed here. Anyway ... Does anyone have any knowledge about the Elmer's brand?

I use the Elmer's glue sticks. They are on sale at Walmart now, as it is getting close to back to school time. I also use the washable Elmer's glue.

I stock up every year at WalMart at the Back to School sales. Usually you can find the Purple colored washable Elmer's glue stick for about 25 cents each! The purple color makes it easier to see where you put it. If your not sure about using it.... now is the time to buy it at this cheap price. If you don't like it your only out a few pennies.

Ditto on using Elmer's glue sticks. I also look at the Walmart back-to-school sales and find lots of things that can be used for quilting.

I use the Elmer's glue sticks all the time. Make sure it is the disappearing purple one. The repositionable one does not hold the fabric together nearly as well.

I use the cheapest I can find in bulk buys. Is it right that it is best to store in the fridge when not in use? This would make them last longer.
I also buy school glue in small bottles for tiny spots, I do change the bottle to give this small dot.

Wow! Elmer's wins by a mile! So yep, I'll be stocking up on "school supplies" this year! Thanks!

I usually use the "no name" brand of glue stick at the Dollar Tree. Four sticks for a buck. They may not work as well as Elmer's, but they're always cheap! (Just like me.)
