In your opinion, which manufacturer has the best quality batiks? Thanks.

I have purchased many batiks, from many manufacturers... I haven't been disappointed in any of them.
The fabric is heavier to begin with, and I treat them all with Retayne as most will bleed some if not a lot.

I was lucky enough to be in the quilt shop when a representative for Anthology Fabrics showed up. I haven't done a whole lot with batiks, but this fabric was spectacular. It was thicker, like batiks usually are, but the difference was amazing. We poked a needle through it to see how easily it would go through. It was like magic the way it just slid through, great for hand quilters! (You have to work with other batiks to get the needle through.) I was amazed. http://www.anthologyfabrics.com/home.php?cat=246

I am also a big fan of Hoffman batiks. I also like Timeless Treasure Tonga batiques. Those batiks from Anthology are beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen that brand before. But I often will buy fat quarters and have no idea who the manufacturer is.

I just checked out Anthology's website and fell in love! Looks like I will have to buy some of their fabric....
