    Default Best size for Raffle?

I plan on making a quilt that our local Historical Society can raffle off. I am thinking that a nice twin size quilt would be best, just to test the waters and see how it goes? If it goes well then perhaps I can do a larger one next year. Looking for feedback from those that have done raffle quilts before.

A twin sounds about right. They can use it on a bed or couch. I have seen baby quilts though go for big money at the Mennonite auction. Amazing what Grandparents will do for their new grandchild.

My guild raffle quilts are the larger the quilt the more per ticket. $1 for twin size, $2 for queen, $3 for king. The queen sells the most tickets in this area.

Tartan, is right. Twin or throw size is perfect. It won't clash with anyone's bedroom or decor. It can be used as a throw.

I agree with everyone that a twin or lap size would be great. This way the quilt could be used on the couch for just a cover up or wrap around.

I made a raffle quits a couple years ago and it was a full size quilt. It raffle off at more than $300! If I do this again I will again make the quilt Full Size.
