Best Spray Starch
#45
I also use Mary Ellen's best press. I love it. I am considering making my own and using Lavender essential oil for fragrance but I want to try it on something other than the projects I am currently working on.

I remember my mother using the powdered starch and boiling it until it was thick and then dipping clothes in it before hanging them out to dry. Then the next day she ironed all the starched clothes. Some she sprinkled with water and put in the refrigerator before she ironed them. I have no idea why that was done. I know the clothes were sprinkled with water while ironing. I have her sprinkle top! She used it with a RC Cola bottle.

I'm a Sta Flo gal, too! I mix 1/2 water and 1/2 sta flow...put it in a squirt bottle and spray it on. I let it ALMOST dry and then iron...cuts down on any flaking. Love it, use it all the time, but now my grocery store isn't carrying it. I'm on the look out!
