Best stabilizer
What is the best stabilizer for string blocks? I want something I can leave in. No paper or wash away.
TY!

I use inexpensive muslin (washed and dried) or nonfusible pellon. Hope this helps.

If you gave a solid lightweight fabric in your stash that is too thin for quilting, it will be just right for foundation. I like white cotton broadcloth, it is inexpensive and readily available.

No show mesh stabilizer. It is made by the ladies who wrote the book String Quilt Revival.
