Default Best way to package a quilt to give?

I have a lapquilt I want to give a friend. I am not sure how to present it. Any ideas other than a gift bag or pillowcase as far as wrapping or packaging. Thanks in advance for any responses.

Why not just use wrapping paper with a pretty bow? It doesn't have to be complicated. She will be thrilled once she opens it up.

I suppose you could roll it and wrap it like a tootsie roll.

You know those wooden crates? I have seen them used for gifting quilts. You can get them at JAf or probably Michael's. They come raw wood, but the one I saw was painted white and matched the quilt. the quilt was rolled up and put inside tied with a big ribbon. Really pretty!

A large box: pretty tissue paper, wrapping paper and bow. I think a gift as special as a quilt deserves special attention in presentation.

I love using the larger decorated craft boxes you can find at Tuesday Morning or Hobby Lobby. With the 40% off coupon @ HL (or when they are on sale) I can get one for about $10. Here’s a pic, although this is a set of three: https://www.hobbylobby.com/Home-Deco...x-Set/p/139484

A matching tote would be lovely and useful too.

I also agree with zozee, One of those patterned and decorated cardboard boxes with tissue paper is lovely for such a special gift.

I like to put my quilts in these bags from Amazon. They have them in different sizes for different size quilts.. then I feel if my quilt isn't used it will be protected. Then I just wrap or put in a gift bag
