    Default Biblical-based pieced blocks

Does anyone know of a source for peiced blocks based on the Scriptures. I need blocks to make a border for a quilt, maybe in the 6"-8" size block. I was hoping to find something that stood for the fruits of the spirit but all I found were signature blocks with the joy, peace, hope written on the blank block. If not the fruits then a source of other biblical charaters or events in the Bible. Need five to seven different blocks to use in the border. Sure appreciate the help! Chris

Never heard of it, but would be interested to know what you find.

I have seen examples of pieced Biblical blocks. You might try quilterscache/quiltblocksgalore or try Goggling free pieced Bible blocks. I found this one and I will try to post a link www.patternsfromhistory.com/bible_quilt/

Just an idea, but if you are planning to use them for a border, how about just appliqueing letters and spelling out the fruit around the border? Love...joy....peace.....etc. Maybe add some other embellishments to spruce it up.

There was a free Biblical BOM run by an LQS either this or last year.
Sorry, but I have no clue beyond that, for now!

Let Google be your friend .... and I bet you will find it!

    That's a great link Tartan!

What about applique of pears, apples, etc with the words written inside them : peace, joy, etc all around the border. It would give an additional interest.......jmho.

I would like to see a pic when it's done.

It is being published by Quilter's Loft Company. I am not sure how many back blocks you can get but I have the emails saved if you need some of the first ones.

    Here is the link: http://quiltersloftcompany.blogspot....ek-starts.html
