    Maybe add a checkerboard between two borders. That will break it up a bit.

    If it' a really big floral border I might go as large as 6 inches.....but no bigger.

    This is a very hard decision, I would want it out of ufo pile, but not if it meant it was going to look bad just slapping on a border that didn't fit the quilt. I like to have several borders, two plain, and one in between them, maybe even combining the other two borders colors, and maybe a folded flap border. Good luck.
