I found two books that you may find useful. Depending on the look you want for your quilt and the colors you are going to use (modern or traditional) these may be of help.

http://www.amazon.com/Beautiful-Wild.../dp/1604600039 which has more realistic flowers and http://www.amazon.com/Flower-Festiva.../dp/1571205292 which has 50 more stylized flowers. Remember, you can always enlarge any photos you find to the size you need.

If you find a pattern/flower you like but not big enough, and you do not have the ability to enlarge at home, take it to one of the big box office supply stores or FedEx, UPS stores, anywhere that has the big copiers and they should be able to enlarge it to your satisfaction.

I have couple coloring books I got from discount store. I also as some others have done is find a picture of a flower you like and have it photocopied. Enlarge if you need. I keep a tablet of tracing paper on hand or you can use a light box/window. Good luck!!

OK, I tried the applique and it was hilariously horrible!

So, I took someone else's advice and used my embroidery machine. Found a great website with big embroidery designs and here's my first flower.
