Thanks, debbie, I LOVE my Big Lots, too. And all Big Lots aren't the same either. I can spend hours in there. I just purchased a floor lamp like the Ott lamps and I love it. $30 compared to $100!!

I also bought the canvas tote you're talking about. And I got lucky at Tuesday Morning's and found another one with more structure for my sewing table...$5.00!!

I guess you could say I'm a 5 and dime girl!! LOL

So cool that you tested them!! The last time I went to Big Lots they had about 6 fat quarters :( and none were colors I really wanted. Unfortunately I don't have a Big Lots in town, and have to travel to the next town over. So I don't go too often. However, the next time I go I will be sure to stop in and check for the fat quarters. THANKS!!

I bought 2 fq's from them. They felt wonderful.
I brought them home, took off tags, put two Moda fq's in with them and washed them together. All four came out nicely, If I did not know the fabrics myself, I don't think I could have told the difference. With the cost of fabrics rising for now, I figured, cost is important now too. The next test is to use them with other fabric I have and then see again. Maybe I should have been a fabric tester in my real life. ROFL. HUGS

I know there have been posts on here so don't tell me to go read, I wanted to share what I discovered. I always look at them when I go to Big Lots and don't buy. Never sure. Well now I am and the next trip I will buy more. They usually only have maybe around 50 or so. I love the colors too.

So , to each his own. Just wanted to throw in my two cents worth. Inquiring minds need to know. LOL. Now I do.

Hope this thread stays positive too.

Thanks for sharing about the fabs at Big Lots...I was there yesterday (only go into town occasionally) and didn't even check. Will be trying them out now because of your positive post! :)

Yeah, a new source for fabrics! Never knew BL sold fabrics, but have bought lots of scrapbooking supplies there. Off to BL I go, right after church tomorrow!

I was in big lots the other day, and I didn't see any fabric at all and that's why I went in there. I search every isle.

I havent been to big lots in several years. Although I am one of the lucky ones, if I go north 45 miles which we do to take my husband to his VA appointments and if we go south 25 miles or so there is a Big Lots there too. So next time we go to town if I remember I will have to check them out.
