Default Binding small objects (mug rugs, coasters)

What method do you use for binding small objects such as mug rugs, pot holders or coasters? Thanks!

Coasters I don't bind, it's just easier for me to turn it inside out. The others I just bind like normal as though I were binding a quilt.

I use the same method as binding quilts but I sometimes use use a single rather than double fold binding.

I bind them just like my quilts.

I do a skinny double fold binding of 1.75". I make sure to trim those bunny ears as Patrice Lose demo on F&P TV show on PBS.

I either do the stitch and turn inside out method or I may just turn the edges inside and hand stitch around (like finishing binding by hand). Have used this method for finishing a prequilted panel baby quilt too.

Coasters- I usually make the ones you can just turn inside out. Much easier. Other items get done like my quilts.

I have used a narrower fabric strip or, on occasion, bias tape
