I have a question about what to use for the binding colors in my quilt. I am making a Christmas paper pieced quilt and there are many colors in the quilt. I have a striped colored fabric that has all the colors in it that I was going to use for the binding or do I go with a fabric that was already used in the quilt? Any suggestions??

I personally like the stripe for a binding. I have one of my quilts finished this way and it really adds to the quilt.

So it would look okay if that fabric is not in the quilt at all?

My most favorite binding was a striped one I did on the bias. Looks terrific! And the fabric doesn't have to have been used in the quilt; just so it coordinates.

That is how mine is. I bought the pattern, the fabric for the quilt and binding just like the designer intended and love it. It's called Gettysburg.
