I went on a shop hop last week and came back with this new tool for finishing off your binding. It's called the Binding Tool and can be found at www.quiltersmerc.com. You can find a demo of it on www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAGrGz6ukn0. I haven't tried it yet but it looks like an easy way to join your binding ends without bulk.

I love that little thing. The truth is that you can do it with any ruler that has a 45 degree angle marked on it, but I find it simpler with the tool.

I enjoyed the tutorial. The binding tool looks pretty neat. For someone like me who is definitely "quilting challenged" it seems like a good idea!

I think I have one of those somewhere. I will have to look for it. I didn't know how to use it. Thanks for the info.
