I am sewing bindings on several finished quilts, and am frustrated because I haven't been able to find the "perfect" needle.

What kind and size do you use?

    Thanks!

My perfect binding neeldle is a straw needle. They are really thin and kinda bend while you are working with them. I use John James size 10. They just glide through

The best way to find a good needle for binding is to get one of those variety packs and try a few out of it. I think the ones I like best for binding are actually embroidery needles.

Yep. I tried the multi packs and couldn't find a thin enough needle to suit me. Found a 16 pack of straw needles at my LQS for $3. Slightly longer-love 'em!

I wasn't aware that there were special needles for sewing bindings! May have to try this out for the next binding! Thank you!
