Default Bionic Gear Bag - Anyone Else Making It?

It was briefly mentioned in a thread last week that I long since buried somewhere in here. You can get it here: http://bionicgearbag.com/buy-the-pattern/ or here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/18913686...w_type=gallery And the little fabric notions dish is free from here: http://www.craftsy.com/patterns/sewi...rtBy=relevance

I have been very s-l-o-w-l-y inching along on my 1st make of this. I have only a few pieces left to interface and then I can sew it up. For this first make I am using scraps from a top I made my daughter last year. That will make me smile when I see it, though I have had to piece two of the sections to have enough fabric. I also raided my zipper stash and had to cut all but 2 of them to size. I want to see how it all goes together first before I go total coordination on everything.

After this first one I will head to my LQS and get some "manly" FQ's and make up one for my OTR trucker son to use for his electronics organization. I have a few others planned for Christmas gifts --- yes, I need to start thinking Christmas or I won't get done.

Just ordered the pattern - - - it looks awesome. Will you post yours when it's completed? I'd love to see it.

I definitely will. I will go cut the interfacing now so I can get sewing on it tomorrow.

It reminds me of a fabric version of the antique Singer puzzle cases for accessories. Very cool!

Wow, that is a BAG! I can see how it would work for electronic organization... having all of our iPods, iPhones, & all of the cords & earplugs that go with those, etc., in one place, especially when traveling! Looking forward to your finished bag!!!

Who knew? Look at the 4th photo down this website to see how you can store electronic gear. Great idea!

I think I am going to make one to set on the right side of my sewing table for all of my sewing gear. Can't wait to get started.

The selvedge edge-looking and the flowers are from the "Bobbins and Bits" line from Moda. What you probably can't see in the pics is that the centers of the flowers are bobbins. I think it's super cute, too. It's been around a while, but if you Google it, I bet you can still find it.

I'm not home... So I can't go see what company made that yellow tape mearure fabric... But I'll check when I get home.

    Thanks for complimenting it...
