Michael Miller black is not overdyed as are most other black fabrics.

I have a terrible memory thus I have post it notes everywhere...right here in front of my computer monitor (where most of my purchases take place) is a neon pink post it saying Solids..Kona..Best! So If I need a solid that I can wait on it's Kona fabric!

I have used kona black a lot. I really like it. As some have said it does have a heavier hand than some fabrics but it does pair just fine with my other quilting fabrics. I have also used Bella black and liked it too. I have been told that the Michael Miller jet black is the blackest black you can buy but have never used it or seen it. No one around here carries it.

I agree that Kona black is best I am working on a double wedding ring black with marbled colors. I have bought Kona black at different times as I have used the black on other projects and there is no difference in the colors. JAF is where I shop and only buy what I have coupons for

I really like the Amish black fabric from Keepsake Quilting. It is really great quality and has never faded after repeatedly being washed.

The Micheal Miller Jet Black is so wonderful and black. I have used the Kona black as well but since we don't have Joann's here in Canada and can't get the deal I recommend MM Jet Black as well.
