I have used kona black a lot. I really like it. As some have said it does have a heavier hand than some fabrics but it does pair just fine with my other quilting fabrics. I have also used Bella black and liked it too. I have been told that the Michael Miller jet black is the blackest black you can buy but have never used it or seen it. No one around here carries it.

I agree that Kona black is best

I am working on a double wedding ring black with marbled colors. I have bought Kona black at different times as I have used the black on other projects and there is no difference in the colors. JAF is where I shop and only buy what I have coupons for

I really like the Amish black fabric from Keepsake Quilting. It is really great quality and has never faded after repeatedly being washed.
