Here's what the top looks like so far. Right now it is 40" wide so it should fit (narrowly!) on a single width of fabric. Everything else has come from the stash so far and I think I have a good piece for the back but I'll have to look for it. If the piece I have in mind doesn't work and I don't find anything else that speaks to me I may have to buy a backing and in which case I'd buy extra so I have enough to long arm it and add a border or two. Am thinking just a 2" wide black border and then the polka dot fabric from the first picture as binding, but if all I'm going to do is a skinny border I could do that with the polka dot and then I'd bind in black.
