Default Black on white and white on black

Several years ago I saw a quilt at a show that the fabric was black with white design. Then the other fabric was white with a black design. Beautiful quilt, took pictures of it and set out to collect the fabric. Now that I have a good collection of fabric I can not find my pictures.
Looking for suggested patterns. I am just a few projects away from wanting to start this one. lol

Cari, I really like your black & white quilt. The red for contrast makes it very striking. Well done!

If you remember the name of the quilt show, they might have a website where you can look at quilts from past shows. You might be able to find your quilt that way. Many quilt guilds have archived photos you can look through on their websites. If it was a National show, you may be able to find a book with photos of the quilts in the show. I know those are sold each year at the Paducah spring show. Good luck!

Cari-I love your quilt and I agree with you putting the red in your quilt-it really makes it "pop".

You might try Quilt for a day, Eleanor Burns has a book, called "Day/night" I believe. Might even have a copy. Someone here can probably correct me if I am wrong with my senior moments of recall.

I love looking at these on Google Images, especially the log cabin with red hearth blocks and black with white logs on one side, white with black logs on the other. Very graphic!

Here is a black and white string quilt idea. I alternated white on black and black on white strips. I chose yellow for the lattice, but black or any color would work.
