A few years ago I made my dying brother a quilt out of one log cabin block. I had some beautiful Asian gold metalic material and used only two for the logs, but the center was a heart made of those two and a third. After putting it together I decided it needed calking to seperate the bright fabrics, so I added another thin non-metalic piece in between the "logs". His daughter has it now and tells me she loves it, called me an "artist"!!!

Drat... I posted a picture (finally) a few weeks ago, but I can't figure out how to do it now. Oh well, the dryer had been too hot and the quilt was wrinkled anyway. But it does bother me that I have the "How to Post Pictures" up beside this page and it tells me to "Once you are ready to attach a picture, click the "Browse" button (below)" and I can't find a "browse" button at the bottom of that page or this one.

Is that a stupid question *LOL* I am still rather new at this so is a 11x11 block too big? Also looking for a washington redskins embroidery in pes if anyone knows where to find one except the on on etsy please pm me thanks Rita
Take a look at the book "One Block Wonder" The blocks range in size from 48" to 54". If you add a border they get even bigger.

The site quoted for the Redskins logo is out of the USA. US digitizers can't legitimately create and sell trademarked logos. We get sued by the copyright police! And, believe me...it happens and the resulting fines are disastrous to a small business. When you see sites advertising Disney designs...beware! And, the purchaser, if caught, is considered as guilty as the seller even is only using for personal items. I had a friend caught in this mess. Not worth the trouble.

Well, I guess it depends on what you want to make. I have made quilts with 3" blocks and some with 18" blocks.

There is a watchdog group that goes after illegal designs being sold. It was a mess...tried to fine me hundreds of dollars for designs I bought off ebay. I did not know they were illegal..I do now!
