I also love that collection and am trying to talk myself out of ordering it. I've been on a strict fabric diet. At the very least I might have to order one of the patterns shown in the oranges and yellows. It's so bright and cheerful.

You need a really good organized space to keep the blocks in order. I couldn't have done it and kept my sanity without a design wall. The piecing is easy though.

Love the collection of Island Hopping fabric... looks like quite the project. We would all love to see your finished project. It definitely would be bright and cheerful in those fabrics but placement would be key.

I love that line of fabric too but have been in a quandary as to how to use it. I even thought about buying the table topper pattern and making it bigger for my table by adding an extra border but my husband was not particularly fond of it so decided not to go that route.
I'll be watching to see what others suggest as an option. It is frustrating to fee so passionate about a fabric but not know how to use it.

That is a beautiful collection! I love bright batiks in colors similar to this collection. I have found that in a completed quilt, the eye needs a place to rest. The quilt needs white solid to provide rest.

Love this fabric, beautiful colors! I'm seeing summer slice, on cluck cluck sew, check out flimsy finished by QB member baronreads. It would depend on which ones of the line of fabrics you choose. Whatever you end up doing, can't wait to see!

Those are beautiful fabrics but WOW! putting them all together will take some knowhow! I do hope you will keep us up to date with your project if you do this one......it should be fantastic when done.....Are you going to make it a wall hanging or a bed topper?

Whoa! really bright colors. It would be good to make the quilt and use it in the winter-time when it is so dark and we are in need of some sunshine. I think that the pattern would be perfect for this fabric line.

I just looked at the collection, and if I were going to use them, I would add a deep burgundy as the soloid to tie it all together. Just my idea....
