Quilter's are the most clever people I've ever met. Not only do we think of great little tricks to make quilting easier we also think of thrifty problem solvers for ourselves and willingly share them with our fellow quilting addicted friends. I love this site...

I bought "bobbin gaurds" from a quilting cataloge and was shocked to see they were the hair thingies (love that name). They were very thin and stretched out of shape. I now go to dollar store or Wall Mart & buy them. They are cheaper. I try to match the hair thingies to the color of thread on the bobbin.

That is the best idea for bobbins. I have the bobbin bxs. but when I am using only a couple colors I hate putting in and taking them out of the box. Sometimes a pain. Thanks. This site I have found is the best and so are all the people.

The problem I ran into with these, was I could not tell what color of thread was on the bobbin once I put the pony tailer on. It covers the thread entirely........
