I bought 2 easy winders on Amazon several years ago. I love Love mine! but the nieghbor I gave the other to never uses hers. I taped mine to the shelf next to the machine and put old bobbins on the extra bobbin holder pins. an extra wrap when threading took care of the tension problem. I am now using a kenmore from sears. it also worked with a brother and a white. It's kind of hard to get the kenmore bobbin on. very tight! but it works!

    Default bobbin winder

Thank you for the link, I went and ordered it

QUOTE=mcwillia;4820772]if you want the absolute best bobbin winder (and made in the USA) check out http://theeasywinder.com/
I have the Sidewinder deluxe and the standard result is uneven, not tightly wound, and unusable. My quilting machine came with a professional winder but bobbins for regular sewing machines don't fit. The Easy Winder gives the same result as the professional winder. It does require a thread stand or you can buy the Universal Stand with the Easy Winder. Check out the videos on the site. The gentleman who handcrafts the winder has a great sense of humor. He shipped the day I ordered and the winder arrived in 2 days (from FL to WA)

i love mine. at first i had problems with it being tight enough but with someones comments on here
found if you wrap the thread 2 times around the place it goes around instead of just once it works great
my machine works great with them and they last longer than the ones my sewing machine winds. at first looked like they seemed not full bobbins but they are just wound tighter so it seems that way. i love to be able to wind whatever i need without rethreading all the time.

i have the sidewinder and it works for both berninas and my singer.....of course the singer 301A has that little known talent of being able to wind a bobbin as you sew......it is so cool

Just watched the little video posted above on the Easy Winder.... and of course.... my bobbins don't work on it either
My Ruby uses the green ones and while it would wind on the bobbin the problem is that the bobbin goes in the opposite direction so that is why it doesn't work.

I don't have one and I do not unthread my machine. just lift the spool off the rod and set on top of machine. put thread on rod for bobbin and thread it to bobbin and fill it. take it off and put machine thread back on. easy peasy......

Bobbin winder works just fine on my machine! I jus wind several bobbins when I start a new project. Using bobbing winder price to buy fab. Undersand this would be a great gadget if your bobbin winder didn't work on your machine.

My friend has one as she dropped her Janome Jem and broke the build in bobbin winder. So she bought a bobbin winder instead of paying for fixing her machine. It works really well for her but she always plugs it in and does not use the battery option. I believe people have issues if they do it on the batteries.
