    I really like the eyes too. Gives them a little more character. Very cute!

    Add eyes because it is another way for each sheep to be slightly different. I forget, is this going to a baby? It can't have buttons or anything that may come unattached. I'm not sure I'd get terribly realistic and detailed. They sure are cute with nothing at all!

    I like the combination of sewn eyes/sleepy eyes. Might try one block and see how busy it makes the sheep look. French knots with a light yarn or Pearl cotton if you are going to quilt it yourself, or after the quilting was done might be an idea.

    You have been given several cute thoughts to try out.

    I think the eyes have it. But mix up what the eyes look like, as one person said, some sleepy, some wide open, etc.
